Christopher Fairbank

Profile

Christopher Fairbank (sometimes credited as Chris Fairbank; born 4 October 1953) is an English actor best known for his role as Moxey in the hit comedy-drama series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Fairbank was born in Hertfordshire, England. He has numerous television credits to his name, notably in Sapphire and Steel, The Professionals, The Scarlet Pimpernel and provided minor voice talent for both the hit Wallace and Gromit feature-length film Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Flushed Away (both produced by Aardman). Fairbank also appeared as one of the pair of muggers who rob an out-of-town family, heralding the first appearance of the Batman in Tim Burton's 1989 film. Fairbank also had roles as Mactilburgh the scientist in the film The Fifth Element, the prisoner Murphy in Alien 3, and the Player Queen in the Franco Zeffirelli version of Hamlet, opposite Mel Gibson. Recently, he provided the voice of Old King Doran in the video game Demon's Souls and provides a number of voice accents in the PS2 video game Prisoner of War. Chris also appeared in Goal! trilogy in the character of a Newcastle United fan. In 2010, Chris appeared as a detective in the BBC Drama, Five Daughters, and as Alfred "Freddie" Lennon in the biopicLennon Naked with Christopher Eccleston. Hanna's War

Venus Peter

Produced for Scottish television, Venus Peter was financed by the Orkney Islands Council. The title character is transformed into a "sea child" when he is baptized with salt water. Though his family tries hard to accustom him to life on land, Peter (Gordon R. Strachan) yearns to go to sea -- or, at the very least, to escape his cloistered community. He finds a kindred spirit in Princess Paloma (Juliet Cadzow), the village "looney," who, alas, is eventually carted away to an institution. Briefly fascinated by poetry and music, thanks to his lovely teacher Miss Balsibie (Sinead Cusack), Peter is disillusioned when he finds his teacher in the arms of her lover (and out of her clothing). The final blow to Peter's idealism comes when his grandfather's ship is repossessed. Despite the bleakness of his surroundings and his seemingly dead-end existence, however, Peter never completely lets go of his dreams, and the film ends on a positive note.

Fumier - A series of television drama programmes loosely based on Baroness Emmuska Orczy's series of novels, set in 1793 during the French Revolution. It stars Richard E. Grant as the hero, Sir Percy Blakeney, and his eponymous alter ego. Space Precinct

- This Is Jinsy is a British comedy series. The pilot first aired on 1 March 2010 on BBC Three.
