Shui is an old Alzheimer patient suffering from memory loss and behaviour changes. Ha, as a personal care taker of Shui, stays together with him and takes great care of his daily lives. However, while his bad temper has turned into raging, Ha could not take it anymore and she runs away. Without Ha by his side, Shui is losing his only support. The story of Peter McGowan, a chain-smoking, impotent, insomniac playwright who lives in Los Angeles. Once very successful, he is now in the tenth year of a decade-long string of production failures. He finds himself bonding with a new neighbor's lonely young daughter who has mild cerebral palsy; and during one of his middle-of-the-night strolls, he encounters his oddball doppelgänger.

While cats and dogs are natural enemies, such is not the case in the house where Herman the mouse lives. They are very good friends indeed, are work together to make Herman's life a hard life.
