Three months of revolution. From indignant protest to national unity. From pots on their heads to batons and body armor. From the euphoria of victory to the mourning of the fallen Heavenly Hundred. Revolution as an explosion of revived dignity, as the euphoria of freedom, as the pain of awareness at the cost, as the birth of the modern history of Ukraine. This year we have decided not to have an opening film, because all our attention is focused on the changes taking place in our country today. We have asked the directors who filmed the Ukrainian protests to share their best shots with us. The episodes of these upcoming films about the Euromaidan were formed in a kaleidoscope of revolution, which needs no comment. We offer you a chronicle of the Ukrainian protest. Experience the three months of fighting with us, feel and see the revolution through our eyes.

In 2022 Ukraine has become the proving ground for an arsenal of contemporary cyber warfare techniques from mobile applications, drones and satellites to bringing forth a shift in the economy of war through cryptocurrency. With civilians playing an active role in this war and enlisting in the so-called digital army, we have entered a gray zone of what constitutes a civilian and an active combatant. The “cyberwar” in Ukraine hasn‘t always been front and center in the news, but it‘s one of the things that might directly impact the West and the nature of future conflicts.

There's more than one side to any story. Regrettably, Superpower, is very much a pro Ukrainian take on the conflict with Russia. In this reviewers opinion, it fails to adopt a balanced view of why this conflict came about, who's truly responsible and where this is could lead. A few interesting interviews, that are revealing, in and of themselves, when viewed in a wider context, as opposed to the narrow confines of this production. It ignores concerns surrounding the Minsk agreement, Ukraine's on going attacks on what were separatist republics, the fact Ukraine prior to the war, had one of the biggest armies in Europe (not such an underdog). In summary, given its lack of objectivity, its hard for me not to view this, as proportionally, for the most part, propaganda.
