Phoelix

An aged art connoisseur (Beaumont) and his young female neighbour (Coles), who has a job posing naked in a club, meet and exist in fantasy and reality. Although this raises certain much-discussed questions about the nature of representation, and about the construction of narrative and daydreams in films, 'Phoelix' tends to treat these as just pretty and pertinent issues, opting instead for a mannered concentration on detail.

The Unforgettable Diana Dors

Short documentary profiling the life of British 'Blonde Bombshell' Diana Dors, who died of cancer in 1984. Movie clips and TV footage are mixed with celebrity interviews, including rare appearances by actor Rod Steiger and veteran director J. Lee Thompson. There is some interesting location work at Dors' lavish Sunningdale mansion and plenty of long-unseen film clips, but the documentary ultimately glosses over her scandalous, and often seedy, life.

Jake Sanders - Stephanie Harper is rich but insecure 40 year old heiress with two failed marriages behind her. Stephanie believes that she has found true love with tennis pro Greg Marsden, but after the wedding, Greg promptly begins an affair with Stephanie’s best friend Jilly Stewart. Whilst on their honeymoon, Greg pushes Stephanie into a crocodile-infested swamp, and he and Jilly watch as she is apparently mauled to death. However, Stephanie miraculously survives and goes to an island clinic where she meets Dr. Dan Marshall, a brilliant plastic surgeon who uses his talents to repair her face and body. Using her new identity and fortune, she plots her revenge on Greg and Jilly and aims to take back what is rightfully hers.

Bless Me Father

Father Neil Boyd - Bless Me Father is a British sitcom starring Arthur Lowe, Daniel Abineri, Gabrielle Daye, Patrick McAlinney, David Ryall, Derek Francis and Sheila Keith. It was aired on ITV from 1978 until 1981 and described the adventures of an Irish Catholic priest, Father Charles Duddleswell and his young curate in the fictional parish of St. Jude's in suburban London. 21 episodes, written by Peter De Rosa, were aired. De Rosa wrote the books on which the series was based using the pseudonym of Neil Boyd which was also the name of the young curate character; Boyd also served as the narrator in the series of novels upon which the series was based. It was made for the ITV network by London Weekend Television. The series was set in 1950 and 1951 and marked a departure from the middle class 'bank manager' roles associated with Lowe such as that in Dad's Army. The other regular characters included Mrs Pring, the housekeeper, the hard-drinking Dr Daley, the non-religious neighbour Billy Buzzle, and abbess Reverend Mother Stephen.

Following her death on 22 March 2009 Sky Living re ran the series.

King Cinder

Lacey - King Cinder is a six-part British children's television serial made by the BBC in 1977. It was first shown between 2 November and 7 December 1977 on BBC1. A gritty series, King Cinder by John Foster, pitches two teenagers, played by Peter Duncan a speedway bike rider and Lesley Manville his girlfriend against a criminal gang running an extortion racket run by nasty Todd Edwards and Hells Angel Daniel Abineri in a South Coast fictional seaside town called Barton. Possibly one of the best final chase scenes on children's British television in the 1970s where Edwards driving a red Austin Maxi chases a running Kerry through a quarry only to see Edwards crash over a cliff. The executive producer was Anna Home.
