Krist Anthony Novoselic II (Croatian: Novoselić; born May 16, 1965) is a Croatian-American rock musician, best known for being the bassist and co-founder of the grunge band Nirvana. In addition to Nirvana, Novoselic has played for Sweet 75, Eyes Adrift, and most recently in Flipper. Apart from his musical endeavors, Novoselic has been active politically, including the creation of the political action committee JAMPAC. Originally conceived by Kurt Cobain, Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! is a video document of Nirvana’s rise from a scruffy trio from the Pacific Northwest into one of the most iconic and important bands in the history of rock music. Combining live material from their ’91-’92 Nevermind tour, Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! has long been the “holy grail” for Nirvana fans. Digitally remastered live performances of songs like "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Lithium", "Breed", "Drain You" and "Aneurysm" are mixed into loads of interview footage from across the world.

Nirvana: With the Lights Out

Noteworthy among them are debut renditions of "Pennyroyal Tea", "Smells Like Teen Spirit" both from early 1991. Also premiering is an unlikely performance of Jacques Brel and Rod McKuen's "Seasons In The Sun" shot at a Rio de Janeiro studio.

While planning the eventual DVD release for "1991: The Year Punk Broke", Dave Markey cut a 40-minute film out of unused footage to create a companion piece to include. The film was also shown to a handful of lucky audiences before the DVD's eventual release in 2011. It's an awesome bonus with tons of great footage that could have easily been in the film. These songs were probably the best to leave out of the full-length film, since 2 were brand new and still quite shaky. The only tour staple not accounted for in either film is "Mary-Christ".
