"It has been a period of upheaval and uncertainty with COVID and the political situation. You will be amazed by my capacity to somehow take all these things personally." Your Power, Your Control is a new show from the former host of Late Night Mash and one of The Guardian's Top Top Fifty Comedians of the 21st Century.
Netflix presents standup and two-time Last Comic Standing finalist Gary Gulman. Titled It’s About Time, the tour marks Gulman’s 20th year in comedy and stops at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
Sarah Silverman appears before an audience in Los Angeles with several sketches, taped outside the theater, intercut into the stand-up performance. Themes include race, sex, and religion. Her comic persona is a self-centered hipster, brash and clueless about her political incorrectness. A handful of musical numbers punctuate the performance.
Comedian Cedric the Entertainer uses his considerable appeal to introduce some up-and-coming young stand-up comedians. Cedric himself takes on topics such as Bill Clinton, the death penalty, reality television, fast-food chicken, church etiquette, and much more. The other comedians are a mixed lot: Roland Powell amusingly mocks insecure boyfriends and sings a singles bar pick-up song and Juan Villareal gets some laughs out of food stamps and The Blair Witch Project, while Tony Luewellyn flounders through weak material about Ex-Lax and the war on terror. Then along comes J.J., who gives a surreal spin to roadkill and giving birth to septuplets.
Eddie Murphy delights, shocks and entertains with dead-on celebrity impersonations, observations on '80s love, sex and marriage, a remembrance of Mom's hamburgers and much more.
Superstar comedian/writer Bill Maher, one of the most highly credited comic minds today, is back in an all-new solo HBO comedy special performed live. Maher, known for his sharp wit, offers his candid and hilarious opinions on a wide range of social and political issues including sex, drugs, Iraq, immigration, President Bush, and much more in this can't miss special. Live show from Berklee Performance Center, Boston, Massachusetts
Registration of the fifth theatre program by the Dutch comedy duo (Erik) van Muiswinkel and (Diederik) van Vleuten. Two old friends meet in a Dutch park.
After five theatre programs, the comedy duo (Erik) van Muiswinkel and (Diederik) van Vleuten performed one more time with an anthology from their previous programs.
Registration of the second theatre program by the Dutch comedy duo (Erik) van Muiswinkel and (Diederik) van Vleuten. In their first program, the two comedians limited themselves to the earth and the strange peoples who inhabit it. In their second program they expand their explorations into the world of the unseen, where they test their strength with astrologers, illusionists, millennium preachers and similar figures. What mechanisms drive people to believe in supernatural madness, and to derive pleasure and comfort from it? Have we made any progress in the twentieth century? If Darwin, Freud and Einstein opened humanity's eyes, then a hundred years later there will be enough volunteers to close them again. Van Muiswinkel and Van Vleuten argue about it for a long time during this performance.
