Bloodbath: The Wacken Carnage

Bloodbath are an extreme metal supergroup from Stockholm, Sweden. Formed in 2000, with a mutual fascination for the glory days of death metal, the band's line up boasts an all-star cast. Anders Nyström and Jonas Renkse (Katatonia), Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) and musician and producer extraordinaire Dan Swanö are joined by Martin "Axe" Axenrot, also from Opeth, for 'The Wacken Carnage'. 'The Wacken Carnage' features Bloodbath on relentless form at a rare live appearance captured on 6th August 2005 at the infamous Wacken Festival, Germany, with the unmistakable vocal prowess of Mikael Akerfeldt backed up by a solid wall of buzzsaw death metal riffing. Bloodbath pulverise the senses (and the audience) with a stream of classics spanning their recording career to date.

In September 2023, Arjen Lucassen's 01011001 - Live Beneath the Waves sold out five performances at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. This live production, based on the critically acclaimed 2008 concept album 01011001, was performed in its entirety, followed by a number of encore songs. The stage came alive with an imposing backdrop, LED screens showcasing fantastic visuals, lasers, pyrotechnics, special effects, and a unique live surround sound experience – a setup that would be at home on Broadway or London's West End. A live DVD of the band performing in Krakow, Poland in April 2003 is also included in the compilation.

Sanctitude is a concert film filmed and recorded in the stunning candle-lit setting of London’s Union Chapel. The 80 minute set features 17 songs across the albums The Great Cold Distance, Viva Emptiness, Brave Murder Day, Last Fair Deal Gone Down and of course, Dead End Kings / Dethroned & Uncrowned, including fan favourite ‘Teargas’. Recorded during a series of special celebratory shows to mark the band's 20th anniversary during 2011's Last Fair Day Gone Night tour, founding members Anders Nyström and Jonas Renkse are joined by drummer Daniel Liljekvist, plus guitarist Per Eriksson and bassist Niklas Sandin, for an exhilarating evening fuelled by a rich and extensive set of Katatonia tracks both past and present. Also includes a special 10th anniversary performance of the landmark 2001 album 'Last Fair Deal Gone Down' in its entirety. Sleeve artwork comes courtesy of long-time collaborator Travis Smith.

With a somewhat unforeseen global event transpiring this year which resulted in touring being made all but impossible for artists internationally, Katatonia conducted a more intimate “lockdown” show which was streamed live from Studio Grondahl, Stockholm on 9th May. ‘Dead Air’ offers fans a full 88-minute set containing 20 tracks from the band’s extensive and illustrious repertoire to date, with inclusions spanning two decades of dark progressive greatness, and essentially also debuting three of the ‘City Burials’ album tracks in a live setting.
