Son of actor Lev Zolotukhin. Actor, director, screenwriter, producer. Honored Artist of Russia (2000). In 1979, he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio (course of VK Monyukov), in 1987 - the directing department of VGIK (workshop of S. Gerasimov). Actor of the Moscow Art Theater (1979-1982). After graduating from the Moscow Academic Art Theater School in 1979, he made his film debut in 1981 with the role of the young Peter the First, in the dilogy "Youth of Peter" and "At the Beginning of Glorious Deeds." At the Beginning of Glorious Days

Late 17th century. With no access to the sea, Russia suffers great losses in foreign trade. Peter tries to capture the Turkish fortress of Azov, but with no success: he can win only if he has a fleet. Peter’s ukases provoke the Boyars’ indignation. Europe looks in amazement: the Russian tsar begins to work at a Dutch shipyard learning the subtleties of shipbuilding?! But his training is cut short. Peter has to return to Russia in order to brutally suppress the Streltsy rebellion organized by his sister Sophia.

The film is based on Sergei Narovchatov’s poem. Vassily Buslayev is an epic Russian hero who rose to defend the freedom and independence of his people. The strength and power of this son of a Novgorod governor, his friendship with simple folk enraged and scared the rich, fat merchants of the city. When they learned that the young man was setting out on a march to save his native land from the enemy, they couldn’t be more happy: how could he defeat a foe so mighty! But Vassily overcomes all intrigues and brings his expedition to a victorious end. He returns home a hero, and not alone but with a sweetheart. When a threat of enemy invasion again looms over Novgorod, people come and beg Vassily to defend their native land.

Flight Crew
