Varlıklı bir ailenin tek çocuğuydu. Ortaokuldayken sinema dünyasına girdi. Liseyi Amerikan Kız Koleji (Robert Kolej)'nde okudu. Kanada'da Concordia Üniversitesi'nin İngiliz Dili bölümündeki öğrenimini yarım bıraktı. 80'li yıllarda Türk sinemasının seks sembollerinden biri olmuştur. Genellikle hayat kadını, uyuşturucu bağımlısı fakat kalbi temiz karakterleri canlandırmıştır.Erkekçe dergisine pozlar vermiştir. Gazino sanatçısı olarak çeşitli gösteriler yaptı. Toplam 5 evlilik yapmıştır. İlk evliliğini 1981 yılında Mustafa Ulusoy ile yapmıştır. 1991 yılında Arnavut asıllı Amerikalı doktor Timmy Alejtanij ile yaptığı evliliğinden kendisi gibi "Ahu" (Ajelbegü Ahu Anjelik Alejnatij) adında 1992 doğumlu bir kız çocuğu vardır.
