Jerome Blackwell was an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name "Crusher" Blackwell. Blackwell competed in the 1979 World's Strongest Man contest, but withdrew early in the competition due to an injury. He was a main event star in The American Wrestling Association where he feuded with Mad Dog Vachon, Hulk Hogan, The Crusher, King Kong Brody and Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissey. Born : 26th-Apr-1949

AWA Super Clash

AWA Super Clash '85 – The Night of Champions was the first Super Clash professional wrestling supercard event promoted by the American Wrestling Association (AWA). It was billed as AWA's flagship supercard, their biggest event of the year. The event was held at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois on September 28, 1985, only a few months after WrestleMania, which was promoted by rival WWE promotion. The show drew a paid attendance of 20,347, although it was announced as 25,000. Super Clash – Night of Champions was one of the co-promotional efforts by the AWA, National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) to compete with WWE's increasing national presence and popularity. The jointly promoted venture was known as Pro Wrestling USA.

AWA SuperClash II

SuperClash II was the second SuperClash professional wrestling event produced by American Wrestling Association (AWA). The event took place at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California on May 2, 1987. The show was promoted as the AWA's most important show of the year. Unlike SuperClash I and SuperClash III, the second event featured mainly AWA wrestlers. While not the last match of the show the main event was a match between Curt Henning and Nick Bockwinkel for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship. The show featured six additional matches that were taped for television and shown as part of the AWA's weekly television shows in subsequent weeks.
