Nothing but Troubles

The working-class family Bråten is living in a top floor of a tenement house on the outskirts of Oslo. The family includes three sons and two daughters, mother and father in one room and kitchen. Mother Hulda is the family hub while Mr.Bråten itself is a silent and withdrawn worker. Children contribute in their own way to the neighbors are right when they exclaim: Never anything but trouble! There are problems for all when the police come into the picture after the one his son is participating in a car theft. Middle of all this chaos, 16-year-old Maiken (Vigdis Røising) moves out and seek questionable friends, which brings her into conflict with his father. A tragedy brings the family together again.

We meet the young violinist Øyvind Dahl at a time when everything has weighed him down and he is completely desperate for alcohol. He has left his wife and children and has teamed up with emaciated artists and suspicious individuals, and obtains his daily liquor by mortgaging his last possessions, even the wedding ring, and by pitifully barring money.

Dette er den første norskproduserte musikkfilm, tatt opp i Holmenkollen søndag 17. juni 1973. Med.: Aunt Mary, Sigbjørn Berhoft Osa og Saft, Hvalsøespillemendene, Merit Hemmingson och Folkmusikgruppen, Prudence, Splash, Savage Rose, Culpeper's Orchard, Skin Alley, Mungo Jerry, Pretty Things, Burken och Rockfolket og Popol Vuh. Ideen bak Ragnarock er blant annet å vise sammenhengen mellom folkemusikkrytmer og rockerytmer. Derfor er det fortrinnsvis skandinaviske grupper som er med - og i filmens åpningssekvens spilles både norsk, dansk og svensk folkemusikk. Konserten foregikk søndag 17. juni 1973 ved Holmenkollbakken.

One day, the planet is visited by a young woman who has the ability to perform thought transference and telepathy. The exiles on the planet are thrilled with his ability and a violent fight breaks out over who will get to spend the most time with their visitor and enjoy the illusionary paradises she can transmit.

Thus, the authorities soon make their presence to demand that they show respect for the law. Knutsen & Ludvigsen are banned from the tunnel and they end up in a struggle for existence.
