Dato' Mahmud Jun or better known as Mahmood June (20 January 1921 – 14 February 2002) is a Malaysian actor who is well known for his fierce look and spontaneous act in the classic black and white Malay films. His real name is Mahmood Bin Derani. He was known for his potrayal character in Jalak Lenteng, Sri Mersing dan Sultan Mahmud Mangkat Dijulang. He died on 14 February 2002 at the age of 81 at his home in di Kampung Laksamana, Selayang,Selangor. before that, he was treated to Selayang Hospital Cardiac Treatment Unit due to asthma and lung failure.His body was ladi to rest in Islamic cemetery Sungai Tua, Selayang,Selangor,Malaysia. At 35 minutes long, the film is the only musical variety short from the Cathay-Keris catalogue.

Tiger Ghost

Produced by Cathay-Keris, this omnibus of three stories (with different directors) was adapted from mystery tales featuring Detective Inspector Latiff (S. Roomai Noor), a character created Pelham Groom, a former British officer and genre writer who settled in Singapore. Latiff’s ‘Watson’ is a female Chinese forensic doctor (Mary Lim), and the first story 'Mud on Her Shoes' hinges on the romance between an English expat and a Malay woman. The second story is the titular 'Hantu Rimau'. The third tale ’Double Knock Out’, heralded as the first depiction of a local boxing match, was shot in Happy World (later renamed Gay World), one of the night-life amusement parks known as the ‘Worlds’. Imigran

Toyol

A man and his wife are always in financial diffulties because he is lazy. The problem becomes worse when his family in their village requires money. He can no longer borrow as he is already heavy in debt. One night, while trying to find a solution to his financial woes, a voice calls out to him and promisses to solve his problem provided he meets certains condotions. The man agrees and the goblin goes out every night to steal from the villagers. The villagers formed a night watch patrol to catch the goblin. With the help of a witch doctor, the goblin is destroyed. The man too dies for not fulfilling the conditions.

Do Re Mi

Do, who doesn't take much consideration about his marriageis circled with so many debts. He lied to his mother in law to get some money. Do and his wife eventually got a divorce and Do moved out to Kuala Lumpur to start a new life. Re on the other hand has a wife who is working at a night club whereas he stays at home and takes care of the house chores. Due to re's negligent behaviour his wife's money was stolen and he was told to leave the house bringing him dragging himself to the big city. Mi, a bachelor who is head over heels with the girl who is staying across his house often loans him some money. While Mi was out looking for a job he helped out capturing the theif who snatched a lady's handbag alongside with Re and Do who was in the area and helped out as well. They became close friends since then.

Raden Mas

The movie adaptation based on the legend of Raden May Ayu. It follows the original tale rather closely, though a few variations of the legend do exist. The essence of each of the variations is more or less the same: Radin Mas Ayu is the baby daughter of Pangeran (brother of the Sultan of Java) and a court dancer; she is forced to go on exile to Temasek with his father after the Sultan disagrees with her parents' marriage and burns their house down, killing her mother.
