Marko Matvere

Profile

Marko Matvere (born February 4, 1968 in Pärnu) is an Estonian actor, singer and director. He graduated from Pärnu 1st Secondary School in 1986. After graduating from the XIV flight of the Performing Arts Department of the Tallinn Conservatory in 1990, he started working as an actor at the Tallinn City Theatre, where he worked until 2004. Since then he has been working as a freelancer. He is married to Tiina Matvere and they have a daughter, Matilde, and a son, Oskar. Matvere has performed in many musicals, including Les Misérables, Tanz der Vampire, The Sound of Music, and Miss Saigon. He has performed the main role in several films ("Georg) and television series. He hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with Annely Peebo. He has also hosted the TV show Songs with Stars with Karin Rask. He has been a member of the music group "Väikeste lõõtspillide ühing" ("Association of Little Accordions") since 1989 and released two albums with Jaan Tätte. He made his first movie appearance in Suflöör (1993). So far, Matvere has played or voiced in seven films and television series including foreign TV- series. Born : 4th-Feb-1968

Mihkel

Mihkel boards a ferry from his small town in Estonia to Saint Petersburg in Russia, on his way to Iceland, where he wants to make a new life for himself and his fiancée, Vera. His friend Igor, who emigrated to Iceland a few years earlier, convinces Mihkel to smuggle two bottles of liquid amphetamine and then seek payment from an  Estonian priest, who is a business partner of Igor’s in Saint Petersburg. The priest is then to set him up in his new home and bring Vera over to join him. Rather than getting paid, he is instead coerced into swallowing seventy drug capsules to take on to Iceland. He arrives in Iceland and is picked up by Igor and his two Icelandic accomplices, Jóhann and Bóbó. However, in the next two days it becomes clear that something is wrong and Mihkel cannot pass the drugs. The Icelandic criminals become very nervous, and more and more frantic activity ensues as the situation becomes more serious.

Lotte from Gadgetville

Somewhere in Europe by a great sea stands a small village, where inventing all manner of domestic gadgets is held in great esteem. Every year the villagers organize an annual competition of new inventions. One of the best inventors in the village is Oskar, Lotte's father. His primary rival is Adalbert, whose wife also partakes in the competition. On the eve of the next competition, Lotte and her friend Bruno find a book soaked in the sea, from which Susumu, a gardener from distant Japan, climbs out. Susumu teaches the villagers some judo throws before a big judo competition, which the latter will eagerly use to facilitate their daily lives.

Brothers: The Return

Hoffa floats ashore in Estonia after his stolen getaway boat has exploded. He tries to begin a new life in Estonia, but the longing for his family back home becomes too big and he decides to get back to Sweden. Now a tough struggle begins to get himself home to the family, a family that has moved on with their lives and also thinks that he's dead. A past as a bank robber and a fugitive is not making the journey easier. Along the way back to Sweden more problems arise that makes it even harder for him to meet his family again. Meantime back in Sweden his family is struggling with difficulties which they don't know how to solve. The time is running out and things don't look good at all.
