Danilo 'Bata' Stojković

Profile

Born on 11th of August 1934 in Belgrade, Stojkovic was one of the most prominent and respected actors in the history of Yugoslav cinema. He acted in more than 150 films during his life, though he began his career as a theatre actor in the 1960s. One of the favourite actors of director Slobodan Sijan and scriptwriter Dusan Kovacevic, his first role on stage was for the Yugoslav Drama Theatre, before becoming a permanent member of the ensemble Atelier 212. HIs film career began with a role in 'Traitor' in 1964. year, followed by a series of television and film roles. His biggest role in the movies included 'Beach Guard in Winter' ( 1976), 'The Dog Who Loved Trains' (1977 ) , 'The Who' ( 1980), 'The Marathon Family', 'How I Was Systematically Destroyed by an Idiot' (1983) and 'Balkan Spy'. Dear Video

Through the home video 'letters' sent back and forth, petty jealousies, love liaisons and financial squabbles drive the family to the brink of war, a situation that reflects the collapsing state of affairs in what was then Yugoslavia.

The Farm in the Small Marsh

An intelligent and shrewd Gestapo officer Šicer arrives to investigate. He does not even suspect that he is up against a group of small boys, led by Milan and Vaso, and orders that all men from the village be taken to custody. He announces that one man will be shot each day unless the real culprit steps forward. Children contact the partisans.
