Joe Elliott

Joseph Thomas "Joe" Elliott (born 1 August 1959) is an English singer-songwriter, and musician, best known as the lead vocalist of the British rock band Def Leppard. He is also currently playing in the Mott the Hoople related cover band, Down 'n' Outz. He is one of the two original members of Def Leppard and one of the three to perform on every Def Leppard album. Best Of The Videos' was released in October 2004 to accompany the album 'Best Of Def Leppard' which was released on the same day. The third long form DVD release from the band. It contains 32 videos in all, including the three hidden bonus clips. These are available at the start of videos 8, 22 and 23 if the DVD is played from the start. A Def Leppard pyrite font "D" appears in the top right of the screen as these videos begin. By pressing ENTER you start the bonus version. A mistake meant the bonus for "Slang" plays as track 8, the normal version is the hidden one. The cover was the same as the album artwork. The inner booklet and CD also had a similar design. The sound on the 1984 'BOTH' video is from 1981.

VH1 Rock Honors

The VH1 Rock Honors were an annual ceremony paying homage to bands who influenced the sound of rock music. The events began in 2006, and the final event took place in 2008. The general format of each show is for modern bands to "pay tribute" to classic greats of the rock/metal world, after which time the artist being paid tribute to plays multiple songs. The 2006 and 2007 shows featured four inductees each, whereas the 2008 show featured one, albeit with multiple bands paying tribute. The shows were directed by David Mallet and produced by Paul Flattery. Currently, VH1 has no plans for a CD or DVD release of any show.

Going Live!

Self - Going Live! was a Saturday morning magazine show, broadcast on BBC1 between 1987 and 1993. It was presented by Phillip Schofield and Sarah Greene. Other presenters included Trevor and Simon, Peter Simon, Emma Forbes, and puppet Gordon the Gopher. The show was broadcast during the autumn to spring seasons, with other shows such as the 8:15 from Manchester and Parallel 9 taking over during the summer months. It was preceded by Saturday Superstore, and succeeded by Live & Kicking. In 1988, when the second series started, Greene was hurt in a helicopter crash with her then boyfriend, Mike Smith. Guest presenters stood in for her including T'Pau's Carol Decker. Similarly, in 1992-93 during the final series, Schofield was starring in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and was unable to present the show. A third presenter took his place. Originally, Neighbours actor Kristian Schmid took the role but soon left after problems with his work permit. Various other celebrities to stand in included Shane Richie and Robbie Williams during his Take That days.
