Bandito -Gentleman Thief Salvatore Giuliano-

Takarazuka Moon Troupe 2015 production. 1940s Italy, the island of Sicily. There can be found a man known all over Europe as a "bandit," and moreover a "chivalrous thief." At the end of the Second World War, Sicily becomes the GQ of the Allied forces. Struggling under the poverty and scarce resources brought about by the war, the young Giuliano is forced to steal to survive. Eventually he becomes leader of a band of thieves. One day Giuliano wishes to return a ring stolen from a countess, but the mafia intervenes. Instead of the countess, a woman Giuliano has never met before comes to claim the ring, and this meeting will change Giuliano's destiny....

Ohten no Mon: The Tale of Young Sugawara no Michizane

During the early Heian period, Fujiwara no Yoshifusa and his adopted heir Mototsune maintained control over the Imperial Court. Mysterious incidents frequently occurred in ancient Kyoto where a procession of demons would strut through the streets monthly on the day of the Rat, killing anyone who saw them. By chance, Sugawara no Michizane becomes acquainted with Ariwara no Narihira, the head of the police and judicial chief. Black Jack: A Lucky Bet

Black Jack: A Lucky Bet is an original script based on one of Osamu Tezuka's masterpieces, "Black Jack". It was first performed in 1994 by the Flower Troupe led by Anju Mira to great acclaim. In November 2022, at the start of the 50th anniversary year of the "Black Jack" series, it was performed again in a nationwide tour by the Moon Troupe. Kanato Tsukishiro plays the role of Black Jack, an unlicensed surgeon with divine skill, dramatically expressing the message of Tezuka's works, such as the deep love for humanity and the preciousness of life.

The theme for this revue show comes from the beauty of the four seasons in which the spirituality of the Japanese people is based on. Kabuki legend Bando Tamasaburo is a supervising director of this show, which marks his first collaboration with the Takarazuka Revue.
