He goes back in time and relives outstanding moments of his earlier life – since his childhood, when in 1808 he arrived coming from Portugal with his family, until he left in the dead of the night, in 1831, running away from Brazil.

Scars is a recreation of a series of interviews done over about a year with Chris, a man with a violent, dangerous past who, now with wife and child, talks about his regret for the pain he has caused to his victims, how his personality was molded by his violent father, and his fears for his young son. Jason Isaacs stars as Chris, and is interviewed by Leo Regan (as himself).

The film is based on the progressive and nationalist youth organization “Kabataang Makabayan” (KM), founded in 1964. Kabataang Makabayan was led and co-founded by Prof. Jose Ma. Sison, four years before they also reestablished the Communist Party of the Philippines

Bob Halran, while riding in his machine, is struck by a small slipper which is thrown from a passing limousine. He suspects that the owner is in trouble, so speeds up, and by using a wrench as a revolver, forces the driver to stop. He then helps the girl into his car and they speed back to the city.
