A single mistake puts a 19-year old girl behind bars, where she experiences the terrors and torments of women in prison.

Two young crooks steal fabric, which is of course sorely missed. In addition to the former owners, an investigative journalist and a bad cop who smells a windfall are also on their trail. Meanwhile, a newly released con is forced by his ex's pimp to go back to the deepest depths. There he meets a former doctor who smuggles drugs for the mafia in order to send money to his daughter, whom he thinks is at home in Grozny, but who is actually working for the mafia just a few houses away.

A man who spent his formative years in prison for murder is released, and struggles to adjust to the outside world and escape his lurid past. He gets involved with a cheap dancehall girl, and when her protector is accidentally killed, they go on the lam together, getting jobs as farm labourers. But some fellow workers get wise to them.

A World War I veteran’s dreams of becoming a master architect evaporate in the cold light of economic realities. Things get even worse when he’s falsely convicted of a crime and sent to work on a chain gang.

The film tells the story of a convict who fights against the injustice of prison management. Arap Kadir is new to prison. He earns prison leader Fethi’s trust in no time thanks to his honesty and audacity. But Arap Kadir is left with no protection when Fethi is exiled to another prison. Hasan proposes a large sum of money to Tülay as a measure to convince her not to get married to Ali. When Ali’s father ups the offer, Hasan resorts to other plans. The day of the marriage, Hasan and his men cut off the wedding motorcade. In the conflict that arises, Ali’s father is killed. In retaliation, Ali kills a few of Hasan’s men, and lands himself in prison. During the transfer from the courthouse to prison, Ali escapes in order to exact his revenge

A young female prison guard finds out that her first assignment is to San Quentin, one of the toughest prisons in the country.

During a 10-year sentence for murdering the leader of a rival South Central Los Angeles gang, Bobby Johnson finds religion and rehabilitation with the help of Muslim inmate Ali. Upon his release, Bobby returns home to find that his young son, Jimmie, has joined the Deuces, his old crew. Tensions rise as Bobby struggles to convince Jimmie to leave the gang that was his only family during the painful years his absent father spent behind bars.

Maria, an unfortunate young woman, kills her rapist father in self-defense, and is later tried, sentenced, and shipped off to a woman's penitentiary where she and her fellow inmates are subjected to psychological and sexual abuse at the hands of a psychotic lesbian warden.

A crime boss goes searching for his ex-wife and son after a ten-year prison stint. His old gang has other plans though, and use the child to try and make him disclose the location of the loot he hid before going to the slammer.
