Thalappavu (English: The Headgear ) is a 2008 Malayalam film loosely based on the events related to Naxal Varghese and Police Constable P. Ramachandran Nair. The film portrays the social and political issues of the Naxalite era of the 1970s in Kerala.

Prasannan, a recently released mental asylum inmate, claims to be an avatar of God and assumes the identity of Poornananda Swami.

Ayaal is a story on intense human relations. It’s a story of a man who effortlessly floated along the estuaries of time, the back waters of Vembanad. If love is the flowering of one’s own heart, can it have a direction? Is it Scalar (direction less). This is an uncomfortable question raised by him, the protagonist, Guru Dasan. The film problemetises the conventional fabric of human relations, its rules and its sanctity.

In a village named Ilavattam there lives a man by the name of Gopalakrishna Pillai. He is a man with diverse qualities. Basically he is a moneylender, but not the avaricious kind. He lends money at very low interest-rates but makes it a point to get his money back on the date agreed upon. The story takes a turn when a bank, named Grand Bank opens up in the village, offering to give out loans at very low interest. The manager of the bank is a young lady named Jayalakshmi. She has made her entry into the village with a very definite purpose. All this, plus the very different kind of bonding between Gopalakrishna Pillai and his mother, form the plot, which develops towards a very interesting climax.

The film starts in a street in Fort Kochi where Vasco da Gama, the son of a wrestler named Michael, lives. Vasco and his gang of five — Chandrappan, Susheelan, Sainu, Basheer and cousin Tomichchan are small-time goondas, involved in petty offences and as the movie progresses, these characters turn out to be more endearing than bad.

Another mission with Mahadevan and crew, as they deal with international terrorism with a flight being hijacked by hardcore terrorists.

Rosy is a woman of enchanting beauty who sings and dances in a 5 star hotel in the town. She happens to be an eyewitness to a murder that happens in the hotel.

The movie ‘John Honai’ derives its title from the character John Honai played by Rizabava in the super hit movie ‘In Harihar Nagar’. In ‘John Honai’, John and Honai are two different characters. The movie revolves around the life of John (‘Karmayodha’ fame Arjun). John tries hard to free himself from the heavy debts left behind by his father. John is helped by his friends Jaffer and Janardhanan through thick and thin. At this juncture when they are in desperate need for money, unexpectedly they get a huge amount of money. The resulting issues in their life form the plot of ‘John Honai’. ‘John Honai’ is the debut directorial venture of Thoufeeq. The movie is produced by Madhu Thillankary. The movie is scripted by Fazal. The lines of Santhosh Varma are tuned by Alex Paul. Rizabava does the role of Honai. Mukesh, Jagadish, Siddique, Asokan, Sreeram, Kalabhavan Navas, Jaffer, Malavika Menon, Kottayam Nazeer, Saju, and Sinoj include the cast.

In Nadodimannan, Padmanabhan plays a village youth who does not have a particular inclination towards any political party and joins any protest being held. He earns a living by participating in demonstrations for various political parties. He then reaches the city where he is strung to the upper levels of society and gets elected as the Mayor. His conflicts and attempts to cleanse the city form the rest of the story

Priyadarshan (Tini Tom) is a dubbing artist for TV serials and Ad-Films. He got married to Anjana (Aditi Roy) for 4 years and his family life was peaceful without any Issues. Only worry they had was about not having a child. To overcome that, they started engaging themselves in socializing and mixing with their friends without realizing where to control and restrict their friends in their personal family space. Priyadarshan and Anjana are such couple who openly speaks their issues each other and resolve the same.
