And so the opera begins: Poor Maroc escapes from his homeland and defying stormy waters take a boat across the sea to the “promised land”. Despite the initial let down our orange boy is destined to gain happiness – selfish Lisa falls in love with him and sets him free. We see an orange revolution – houses are blown up and tomatoes are made from ketchup, all in the name of democracy! Movie that is full of rebellion and love has happy ending – we will see sour-sweet culmination of lemon girl’s and orange boy’s love.

A doctor (Vishnuvardhan) falls in love with his student (Suhasini) but fails to tell her about his feelings. When he finally musters courage to tell her she tells him that her marriage is fixed to Jai Jagadeesh. Vishnuvardhan cannot forget her and slowly withdraws into a shell. Meanwhile, Jai Jagadeesh starts suspecting his wife because she gives importance to hospital and starts misbehaving with her. Suhasini discovers that Vishnuvardhan is terminal and may not survive for long. She starts taking more care of him in hospital. This frustrates her husband even more and he fights with Vishnuvardhan. Suhasini goes home to explain to her husband but discovers that her husband has abused the maid. She decides to leave him but Vishnuvardhan tries to convince her husband that his relationship with Suhasini is pure. Jai Jagadeesh misbehaves with Vishnuvardhan and Suhasini gets hurt while trying to make sense with her husband. Finally Vishnuvardhan dies saving her baby.
Sergei, an aspiring musician, accidentally meets a deaf-mute girl, Natasha, and falls in love with her. He has to change a lot to prepare himself for a new relationship with a different and very vulnerable person. Natasha is like an alien or an alieness with whom Sergei has to find a completely new language to speak. Natasha tries hard to understand his musical world. The problem is that Natasha lost her hearing during the war and associates sounds with fear and pain. Even a symphony concert is torture for her.
When their father passes away, four grown, world-weary siblings return to their childhood home and are requested - with an admonition - to stay there together for a week, along with their free-speaking mother and a collection of spouses, exes and might-have-beens. As the brothers and sisters re-examine their shared history and the status of each tattered relationship among those who know and love them best, they reconnect in hysterically funny and emotionally significant ways.
