To pay for his sister's marriage, a brother enters into a criminal conspiracy to impersonate the nephew of a wealthy male.

The film is the screen adaptation of Chef Vikas Khanna's novel The Last Color, which follows the friendship between a young tight-rope walker and a widow named Noor in Banaras. The duo yearns to play with colors on the occasion of Holi, but Noor and the other widows are held back by tradition.

Heart surgeon Dr. Viren Goenka, his wife Sanjana and their seven-year-old daughter Anishka live in Mumbai. Their joys have just multiplied with Viren being honored with a prestigious award for his contribution to the medical world. Viren is all set to visit New Delhi to receive this award. He promises to celebrate his daughter's birthday once he returns. But fate has something else planned for Viren and his family: Anishka is kidnapped under Sanjana's nose.
