13 years ago, suddenly one part of Tokyo broke off and began to float in the sky. Tokyo was separated into "Old Tokyo" as the part that was floating in the air, and "New Tokyo," the part that stayed on the ground. Communication and interaction between the two Tokyos was impossible, and years passed. One day, a young girl perceives that Old Tokyo will fall back down to the ground, and she sets out on the perilous path from from Old Tokyo to New Tokyo to save the citizens from the impending crisis.

The film tells the story of interweaving friendships between three children and yo-kai. The film is set in 1960s Tokyo, in Sakura Motomachi. A boy named Shin lives a poor but happy life. When his mother — his only family member — dies, Shin's unhappiness hits rock bottom. That is when another boy named Itsuki saves Shin. Itsuki has also lost his older sister. Shin, Itsuki, and a young girl named Tae who can see yo-kai all become friends. Shin's guardian spirit Suu-san, a "Nekomata" cat, and other new yo-kai join their group, and this group is able to regain what it means to have a precious family. This new family must now face a mysterious incident, and a shocking reality awaits them.

Set during the Heian Period, Kyo is a beautiful city that is proud of its glory. Two beautiful onmyouji meet, and the sad and short-lived beautiful cherry blossom starts to stir after 1000 years.

Kate, the agent of police planet G.P.P. is still fighting Ventica Empire. She has the aces against the Empire with her: Bavi and Mooma. They have to crashland on an unknown planet, where there is not only a thriving vegetation of trees higher than a hundred metres, but also animals resembling dinosaurs. Before the three could find a way of getting out of this jungle, a strong enemy sent by the Empire arrives: cyborg soldier Eyesman.

A compilation feature of episodes 1 through 3, 9 and 18 that was commissioned to Toei by a Filipino film distributor named "UNIPROM FILMS". Based on the then ongoing Filipino English dub from 1978. The character names reflect that version of the series. The movie was dubbed into English in Japan by Frontier Enterprises ---- "From out of nowhere, a mysterious alien race known as the Boazanian Forces has invaded the Earth. A group of individuals specially trained to handle this kind of situation has been unleashed. Steve, Mark, Big Bert, Little John & Jamie are the pilots of the Voltes V, Earth's defense against the Boazanians and their terrible Beast Warriors."
