A girl from Ambala, Kavya Pratap Singh, is about to be married. When she visits Delhi to shop for her 'dhai lakh ka Ghagra'(wedding dress worth Rs. 2.5 Lakh), she meets Humpty Sharma, a carefree Delhiite, and falls in love with him.

Outspokenly devoted to her principles, Madhavi finds her relationship with her husband, Ajay, an ambitious engineer, crumbling. What continues to bind them is their son Bunty, who eventually must undergo the pain of separating parents. Circa British Rule in India, a man vows to make his only surviving son, Narayan, alias Nani, a Brahmachari to atone for the deaths of five of his children. His daughter is pregnant, the villagers are all set to remove her from the village, they are also angry with him for refusing Yamuna to follow the traditional way of a Hindu widow.

Three boys named Bunty, Happy and Lucky, study in a London school. They fall in love with three young girls. The boys then happen to meet Rubina, a very attractive young lady who is married to Khan. Rubina leads the boys down the garden path and tells them that her husband is very troublesome and that if they killed him for her, they could all have a good time. The boys make several unsuccessful attempts to kill Khan. Finally, they are ready to admit their failure and unwillingness to carry out the crime. But they discover that Khan has really been murdered and that they are the accused in the homicide case.

A successful office worker who is happily married has a brief affair with a sultry co-worker in this romantic melodrama. His wife eventually wins him back from his forbidden lover.

Chitralekha is a 1964 historical-philosophical Hindi film, directed by Kidar Sharma, starring Ashok Kumar, Meena Kumari and Pradeep Kumar. It was based on 1934 Hindi novel by the same name by Bhagwati Charan Verma about Bijgupta serving under the Maurya Empire and the king Chandragupta Maurya (340 BCE – 298 BCE) and his love for courtesan Chitralekha. Set in the back drop of the middle age society. The portrayal of the three tools wisdom, knowledge and power become superfluous in the absence of strength of character.

A hopeful writer, poor but educated Anoop attacks the ruthless exploitation of the lower classes by the rich with his fiery speeches. But his uncompromising principles could stand in the way of the connections he'll need if he hopes to reach a larger audience with his message.
