Chew is known for being one of Y.E.S. 93.3FM's most popular deejays and for playing Aunty Lucy, a character which requires him to cross-dress as a middle-aged woman in the variety show Paris and Milan. The Ghosts Must Be Crazy

"The Ghosts Must Be Crazy" has two different stories entitled "The Day Off" and "The Ghost Bride". In "The Day Off", Ah Nan (John Cheng) and Ah Lei (Wang Lei) goes for their annual in-camp training and they meet a very "on" Platoon Commander. As they're about to play a prank on the Commander as a form of revenge for all the rigorous training they had to put up with, a series of strange things happen. In "Ghost Bride", Ah Hui (Henry Thia) who is unlucky in love meets a stranger, Ah Hai (Mark Lee), who promises him fortune and blessings if he seeks help from 'brothers and sisters' in the netherworld. Ah Hui does so and ends up finding a beautiful jade bangle inside a red packet. Soon after, Ah Hui strikes the lottery, but spends it all lavishly. Just when he is down in the dumps again, Ah Hai offers him another solution and something strange happens.

Blooms of Happiness

Every family has its own challenges. Gao Zhi Tian(46) is going through a divorce with his wife Luo Si Fen(43) and also struggling with his business operating a convenience store. As the Lunar New Year approaches, both insist on spending the holiday with their respective parents. They decide to take his mother and her father and their only son on a trip up a mountain resort to celebrate the new year together one last time, while concealing their divorce plans to not upset the parents. Whilst doing so, he chances upon super fan Edgar, who readily agrees to play calefare at the thought of getting closer to his idol. Gao Mei’s friend, Mei Yi turns up on set to meet Gao Mei. Despite her lack of confidence over the birthmark on her face, Mei Yi eventually agrees to help after Gao Mei’s relentless persuasion. Ever since his mother passed on, Da Tian’s son, Di Long spends most of his time unemployed and idling. When he asks for allowance, Da Tian seizes the opportunity to make him one of his talents. Thereon, this group of extras set foot on their acting journey, where the struggles of being a calefare await.

His family lives in a 3-room flat, which was built in pre-war years, above the coffee shop. He has 4 children. The children are named Hong Shunfeng, Hong Shunshui, Hong Jinzhi and Hong Yuye. Having 6 people living in a 3-room flat is cramped-up enough, yet he also rents out a room to "Ah Niang", a middle-aged man whose original name is Li Weiliang. Weiliang studied fashion design in France, but circumstances led him to simply run a stall in 118's coffee-shop, selling dumplings with the recipe that his mother left for him.
