Jeremy Hotz, a uniquely talented Canadian stand-up comic, has carved a successful international career through his original and astute observational comedy. He's earned acclaim at the Montreal Comedy Festival, with numerous sold-out Canadian theatre tours and performances across the US, Europe, and Australia. His rise began at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 1997, where he received a standing ovation. He continued to captivate audiences at the festival over the years, earning recognition and major development deals from CBS, DISNEY, and COMEDY CENTRAL. His talents extend beyond comedy, showcased in acting roles on HBO Canada’s Call Me Fitz and feature films like My Favorite Martian and Speed 2. He's been honoured with awards, including the Dave Broadfoot Comic Genius Award and the Jury Prize for Best International Performer at the Sydney Comedy Festival. Married Life: The Movie

This satiric comedy concerns a documentary filmmaker (Ken Finkleman) who has brought a camera crew into the home of a typical couple (Robert Cait and Karen Hines) to record the drama of their daily lives. However, the filmmaker soon discovers their daily lives aren't especially interesting, and soon he finds himself deliberately throwing chaos into their path in hopes of making for a more exciting movie. Married Life: The Movie was originally produced as a weekly television series, with four episodes re-edited into this feature; the show's director and star, Ken Finkleman, later went on to create the award-winning Canadian sitcom The Newsroom.

Escape from the Newsroom

It's a strange movie that you have to watch beginning to end, or you'll find yourself completely lost. Based on the Toronto-made TV series "Newsroom," this made-for-TV movie has many well-recognized Canadian actors and comedians. It's a modest comedy that has its "short chuckle of laughter" moments, but the real highlight is similar to the highlight of 12 Angry Men. They obviously endeavoured to make the acting look as real and natural as possible when making this show, and most of the entertainment comes from listening in on their conversations and being convinced by the good acting. This is the similarity to 12 Angry Men.

Speed 2: Cruise Control

A disgruntled former employee hijacks the Seabourn Legend cruise liner. Set on a fixed course, without any means of communication and at the mercy of the hijacker, it's up to the one cop on vacation, and his soon to be fiancé (hopefully) Annie, to regain control of it before it kills the passengers and causes an environmental disaster. Insurmountable and daunting tasks awaits them on their perilous journey throughout the ship trying to fend off the hijacker and save the passengers.

News producer, Tim O'Hara gets himself fired for unwillingly compromising his bosses' daughter during a live transmission. A little later, he witnesses the crashing of a small Martian spacecraft, realizing his one-time chance of delivering a story that will rock the earth. Since Tim took the original but scaled-down spaceship with him, the Martian follows him to retrieve it.
