Kolpa Ersin, the son of Kayseri's famous pastrami maker, convinces his brother-in-law to gamble with him using money he won from a six-horse race. At the end of the night, which ends with a large debt, he signs a promissory note on his father's shop. The casino owner, Rıfat, is a ruthless man with various methods of torture. Ersin, who must pay off the debt within a month, develops a new project, promising to bring cheap goods from China and make more money for the merchants.
