The Club of St. Nicholas is surprised when Amerigo, the horse of St. Nicholas, can suddenly talk. Dutch children’s friend Saint Nicholas is at his wit's end. The letters from children are stacking up and the list of gifts just keeps getting longer. Als Sinterklaas maanden voor de intocht alvast stiekem naar Nederland komt om persoonlijk de geheime pakjesopslag in Nederland te controleren, beginnen de problemen zich langzaam op te stapelen. Na een spectaculaire noodlanding met de Pakjes-Boeing loopt de planning zo in de war, dat zelfs de intocht in het water dreigt te vallen en het niet zeker lijkt dat er in december wel voldoende cadeautjes zijn voor alle kinderen.
