The United States of Horror: Chapter 2

For this anthology movie, producers Vestra Pictures assigned international directors with a phobia and set them to work making a horror short about it.

Four interconnected stories center around the gig economy, hustle culture, and evils of late-stage capitalism.

Si-Kyung, the youngest reporter, infiltrates an unnamed religious group. Invited to a special ceremony, she witnesses strange things happening in the prayer house. Five sacrifices and five stories offered by the church members. When the story is over, she too must make a sacrifice.

"Babygirl" follows a psycho who wishes to raise his victim as a baby. "Goodnight Darling" follows a daughter suspicious that her mother is different. "Beast of Prey" features a woman attempting to evade a monster. "Changeling" follows a mother with a mysterious child. "Night Swim" a woman at a pool sees spirits. "Polaroid" follows a man as he uses a camera in self-defense. "Landgraves" features a man interviewing a metal band accused of murder. "Every Night I See Them" follows a man trying to keep himself awake. "Mommy" makes dinner while watching her child on a camera.

Gully: The calvary of a young man who, as a result of his ambition, is the victim of a painful metamorphosis. The Body: The martyrdom suffered by a woman obsessed with beauty and who resorts to a home cosmetic surgery in order to save money. The Cabin: A post-apocalyptic era in which money becomes the only means that can allow the infected to stay alive.

Rapunzel: While attending the birthday celebration of the scion of some record company, an ex-hair model who aspires to make a comeback in the entertainment business gets her tresses burnt by a spoiled brat. She walks into a hair salon to salvage her sole pride and joy, only to meet her most macabre end. Cheshire Cat: A woman whose cat was gruesomely disemboweled in the street has since opened a feline rescue center. When a man who poses as an animal lover alerts her to a potential case of cat torture, she accompanies him to the scene, only to realize that he is the real perpetrator and his next target could be human. Tooth Fairy: A dental nurse befriends a chef in the street. When he visits her clinic to check on his teeth, he is tortured by the dentist who fancies her. The morning after, the dentist is found murdered in the clinic. All fingers point to the chef who happens to be mentally unstable. Little do the police know that the real culprit is still at large.
