Doctor Who: The Web of Fear - Episode 3

A true pioneer in audio exploration and psycho-acoustics, Delia Derbyshire conceived one of the most familiar compositions in science fiction, the Doctor Who theme, while working in a BBC basement. Her soundscapes felt like they connected to another realm. Kicking off with the discovery of 267 tapes in an attic, along with a treasure trove of journals hidden in her childhood bedroom, this film tunes in to Derbyshire’s frequency; that of a life-long non-conformist, whose peals of laughter in an archive interview tickle with delight and eccentricity. Featuring a rich archive, interviews, fictional embodiment and Cosey Fanni Tutti’s psycho-sonic channelling, director Caroline Catz traces acoustic pathways on her archeological dig into Derbyshire’s resonant life.

The Doctor and his friends Ben, Polly and Jamie arrive at Gatwick airport. They quickly stumble upon an alien plot, centring upon the mysterious ‘Chameleon Tours’ - a low-price holiday company, whose young passengers have been vanishing in unexplained circumstances. The Doctor investigates further, but it isn’t long before his own friends start disappearing too.

The Doctor revisits the Himalayas because he wants to return an ancient relic he was given many centuries ago. On arriving however, the Doctor is blamed for a series of brutal murders in the area. Jamie and Victoria discover the true culprits – the previously peaceful Yeti that live in seclusion on the mountainside have apparently turned violent.

The TARDIS lands on a planet on the verge of total annihilation as it drifts too close to the three suns which its orbits.

Where the Fourth Doctor left off, the Eighth Doctor comes to finish the job. With Romana and K9 by his side, they have to stop the evil Skagra. A remounted version of the abandoned Fourth Doctor serial, rewritten to feature the Eighth Doctor and fit in with the Big Finish audio drama continuity.

Doctor Who and his companions are hurled into the future and make a horrifying discovery: the Daleks have conquered Earth! The metal fiends have devastated entire continents and turned the survivors into Robomen.

The Seventh Doctor becomes the Eighth. And on the streets of San Francisco – alongside new ally Grace Holloway - he battles the Master.

The Doctor arrives on a planet where two tribes, the savage Sevateem and the technically brilliant Tesh, are at war. He meets Leela, an exile from the Sevateem, and discovers that the tribes' god of evil is apparently himself...

The newly regenerated 16th Doctor must find their feet in a world set against them. Join a cast of familiar faces (some good, some not so...) to travel through time and space on this musical odyssey.

Scientist Doctor Who accidentally activates his new invention, the Tardis, a time machine disguised as a police telephone box. Who, his two granddaughters Barbara and Susan, and Barbara's boyfriend Ian are transported through time and space to the planet Skaro, where a peaceful race of Thals are under threat of nuclear attack from the planet's other inhabitants: the robotic mutant Daleks.

Resistance is Useless was a 1992 documentary examining the history of Doctor Who through a compilation of clips from the show. The clips were linked by an anorak with a voiceover (credited as the "Voice of the Anorak"). The documentary was broadcast on the BBC, and made by the BBC's Music and Arts Department. It was directed by Archie Lauchlan.
