In the Dark Ages a lone knight, haunted by the spirit of death, braves a dark forest to lay his wife’s ashes to rest.

After a tragedy, Atel finds himself stuck on a series of mountains… with a familiar voice somehow communicating with him.

But when two creatures belonging to opposite kinds - a lost little girl from the Inside and a demonic beast-looking Outsider - initiate an impossible coexistence on the same side of the forest, their bond seems to transcend their incompatible natures and the unnamed curse that has divided the world.

Two boys try out a home-made flying machine in their children's room at night. For another test, a rat that the boys keep as a pet is thrown out of the window with a small rocket. After this has also worked, the first boy stands on the windowsill ready to jump into the yard. At this moment, a man suddenly flies into the children's room from outside through the window, introducing himself as an inhabitant of Mars.
