Veteran defense attorney Konrad Biegler accepts the defense of a man accused of kidnapping a young girl. At the trial he must face the tenacious police inspector Peter Nadler.

Based on the true life experiences of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, the film focuses on half-brothers Paco and Cruz, and their bi-racial cousin Miklo. It opens in 1972, as the three are members of an East L.A. gang known as the "Vatos Locos", and the story focuses on how a violent crime and the influence of narcotics alter their lives. Miklo is incarcerated and sent to San Quentin, where he makes a "home" for himself. Cruz becomes an exceptional artist, but a heroin addiction overcomes him with tragic results. Paco becomes a cop and an enemy to his "carnal", Miklo.

For ten years, engineer Bill Markham has searched tirelessly for his son Tommy who disappeared from the edge of the Brazilian rainforest. Miraculously, he finds the boy living among the reclusive Amazon tribe who adopted him. And that's when Bill's adventure truly begins. For his son is now a grown tribesman who moves skillfully through this beautiful-but-dangerous terrain, fearful only of those who would exploit it. In a rustic village in Kerala, a group of old wrestling aficionados led by "Captain" Das is at odds with the youth of the village who are more into cricket. Anjaneya is forced to go to college in Punjab by his father and there his paths cross with a Punjabi girl Aditi who's coincidentally also a wrestler. Due to unforeseen circumstances both of them end up returning to Anjaneya's village in Kerala.

The student politics in a government college has for long revolved around the students' organisation KSQ. Subhash and Paul attempts to change the political scenario by launching a new movement called SFY based on their ideologies.

Peter Olsen, a young social outcast who lives alone on a rundown farm and raises vegetables for a living, finds his only consolation in liquor, though Dorcas Chatham, daughter of the general store owner, begs him to forego this indulgence. Returning from town, he finds a dog by the roadside, apparently injured by a car, and takes it home. Later, on a drunken spree, Peter is attacked by robbers, but the dog comes to his rescue and frightens the assailants away. Stirred by the unselfish devotion of his dog, Peter gradually regains his self-respect, and Dorcas falls in love with him and accepts his proposal, though she fears the dog. When Peter enters the dog in a show, another exhibitor proves to be its owner, and Peter is first parted from, then reunited with, "his" dog. Dorcas overcomes her fear and is united with Peter.

A guard prevents the inmate's escape from the prison. During his second attempt, the inmate decides to save guard's life who have been fallen into the river while trying to catch him. Since the guard's job is now to keep an eye on him in the cell, they spend a lot time together and their hatred turns into a sincere friendship. The guard wants to help inmate to escape again.

Vijay's marriage is fixed to Pavitra, the daughter of a wealthy man. Things take a turn when Vijay accidentally meets Merin and falls in love with her.

Heavyweight Champ George "Iceman" Chambers is sent to a Russian jail on trumped-up drug charges. In order to win his freedom he must fight against the jailhouse fighting champ Uri Boyka in a battle to the death. This time he is not fighting for a title, he is fighting for his life!
