Cavalcade of Dance

The Hollywood musical is brought to a Glasgow street. Amidst the crush of city life, two street musicians provide the backdrop for a girl meets boy story, with a spark of purely Glasgow magic.

Showman Jerry Travers is working for producer Horace Hardwick in London. Jerry demonstrates his new dance steps late one night in Horace's hotel room, much to the annoyance of sleeping Dale Tremont below. She goes upstairs to complain and the two are immediately attracted to each other. Complications arise when Dale mistakes Jerry for Horace.

The film portrays two of the most important producers of a movement born in the early 2000s, as well as the testimonies of some of its signatures dancers. In addition, it shows the initiative of Abstractor Collective to rescue and export the authenticity of a catchy rhythm that begins to count amongst its followers important producers and artist of the international electronic scene.

In Jacob Sutton’s film “Ascension”, two young dancers soar up from the darkness beneath the stage at Bastille to the sumptuous Grand Foyer and eventually to the rooftop of the Palais Garnier, where they experience moments of heavenly, dreamlike luminosity.

A photographer is murdered just outside of where a college dance is being held. The body is discovered by Lee Watson, but promptly disappears, as it's whisked around the campus by an ex-con night watchman. However, he is not the killer, and Freddie, Betty, Dodie, and Lee set out to find the culprit, who managed to put a big damper on the big dance.

"Vlada Goes to London" is a short student film exploring the strong-willed Vlada on her night shift as a pizza delivery girl in her desperate attempt to book tickets to London and fulfill her dream of being a DJ. The end of the night brings more challenges than she expects.

Honey Daniels dreams of making a name for herself as a hip-hop choreographer. When she's not busy hitting downtown clubs with her friends, she teaches dance classes at a nearby community center in Harlem, N.Y., as a way to keep kids off the streets. But, when he starts demanding sexual favors from her, Honey makes a decision that will change her life.
