Three short films, out of the ordinary, brought together under a bewitching and enticing title. They are After School Knife Fight by the duo Poggi/Vinel, Les Îles by Gonzales, and Ultra Pulpe by Mandico. Three atmospheres, three sensitivities, going through three forms of expression (music, theatre and cinema) and which, put end-to-end, create an alternative pathway towards borrowed worlds of romance first, then obsession, and in the end, possession. Worlds of soft naivety, of nightmarish creatures and of pop fantasy, reminding us of the mysterious and velvety snatches of our dreams that stick to the spirit when one leaves them.
Spring break is the time between second and third years of high school. Koyomi Araragi encounters a blood-curdling beauty. After all her fear, confusion, and conflict, Koyomi gives her own blood to save her - and the next time she wakes up, Koyomi is Kiss-shot's kin. . Koyomi wishes to change back from being a vampire to a human. But for that to happen, Kiss-shot needed to fully regain her powers. With Meme Oshino, who acts as her negotiator, standing between them, Koyomi takes on three vampire extermination experts in order to retrieve her lost limbs. A new film compiled from the BFI National Archive's unparalleled holdings of early films of China, features films from 1900-48 filmed across China. The cinematic journey of Around China with a Movie Camera contains many films which may never have been seen in China, or at the very least not for over 70 years. These travelogues, newsreels and home movies were made by a diverse group of British and French filmmakers, some professionals, but mainly enthusiastic amateurs, including intrepid tourists, colonial-era expatriates and Christian missionaries.
