A young couple, Rosemary and Guy, moves into an infamous New York apartment building, known by frightening legends and mysterious events, with the purpose of starting a family.

When a series of biblical plagues overrun a small town, Katherine arrives to prove that a supernatural force is not behind the occurrences, but soon finds that science cannot explain what is happening. In 1980, young Loreen Graham is on a school outing to the Salem Witch Museum when a wax figure of a man from 1692 comes to life and accosts her. It seems that she may be the reincarnation of Ann, who has accused the man's 5-year-old girl of witchcraft and the girl is scheduled to be burned at the stake. Loreen must fight being possessed by Ann Putnam and confront the evil minister from 1692 who is consorting with Ann to falsely accuse people of witchcraft.

Peter reads aloud the incantation that causes Baron Blood to return and continue his murderous tortures.

Something is happening. It is happening nationally and locally. It is an ideology that manifests itself in graveyard desecrations, animal mutilations, human sacrifices and suicide. It categorically involves drug/ alcohol abuse, pornography, sexual perversion, physical/mental abuse, heavy metal music and drinking blood. And it is highly organized. Satanic/Occult organizations (churches) have corporate charters, own buildings, maintain national/ international computer networks, publish magazines/newsletters and hire professional public relations firms to polish their public image. It is both generational and self-styled. Some groups are esoteric while others are pantheistic.
