La fontaine d'Aréthuse

A young man and woman enter an empty house where they plan to live for their newlyweds. The woman is not happy with the old and gloomy house and complains nonstop. The man ignores the woman's complaints and silently explores her house. There is a woman in front of him who is trying to complete the present with pieces of the past. The house without her family is like ruins. It is a work that projects the empty efforts of modern people to restore the meaning of a broken family into a terrifying fantasy.

Drift by Max Hattler sees the body as a metaphorical landscape. Eerie and sometimes too close for comfort the film manages to transform the familiar and mundane into something poetic and mysterious. A narrative grows out of what at first seems like nothing, but by the time the journey is over the viewer is left wanting more. What has happened is uncertain and maybe unimportant. The mood is at the heart of this piece. One part horror film and one part nature study certainly makes for a compelling mix.

Walking in her home, Evelia experiences the past, the present and the future at the same time. In the symbolic life she leads, governed by the god Janus, everything around her seems to speak to her, until random visions are born poetic. Through the trance state that awakens the inner gaze, Evelia's anima connects with the anima mundi. Simonetta's eyes is about the memory that a person will leave behind; Evelia tells the viewer, with the language of the gaze: "one day, we will only be memory".

A rare spoof. With the success of the 1925 film, The Lost World, it is common that when something is popular and successful, it is bound to be a subject for parodies and cash-in attempts. One of them was The Lost Whirl. This film featured stop-motion animation by Joseph L. Roop, who worked on the original classic, The Lost World.
