Made in Japan: The Rise of Deep Purple Mk II

Documentary following the planning and execution of Sweden's biggest music festival. Interviews with festival staff are followed by interviews and performances by the bands. This year the festival had chartered their own plane from London to bring the coolest bands in Britain to Sweden, which prompted television personality Henrik Schyffert to quip "If this plane crashes the hottest band in England will be Marillion"

"Unleashed in Japan" is the first live album of the Hardrock veterans around Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan and Richi Kotzen. On "Unleashed in Japan" you can find four tracks, which can't be found on the debut, plus six songs of the debut, live recorded in Japan.

Filmed in Melbourne, Australia in 1984, this concert video is the only full length concert film of the band at this time. A stunning concert with the band in incendiary form, the setlist mixes then new tracks from the 'Perfect Strangers' album with favorites from the early seventies culminating in the brilliant 'Smoke On The Water' finale.

At 14, best friends Robb Reiner and Lips made a pact to rock together forever. Inspired by Steven Blush's book "American Hardcore: A tribal history" Paul Rachman's feature documentary debut is a chronicle of the underground hardcore punk years from 1979 to 1986. Interviews and rare live footage from artists such as Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, SS Decontrol and the Dead Kennedys.
