When Mei-chen’s son Doudou takes his son Doumio to Hsia’s on a research trip, Mei-chen flies into a panic. Mei-chen, who regards herself as a modern woman, cannot bear her mother Hsia believing in superstitions. Hsia’s house is not only derelict but unhygienic.
