Zlatko Vitez

Profile

Zlatko Vitez (born 22 June 1950 in Varaždin) is a Croatian theatre and film actor. He also served as the Croatian Minister of Culture in the period between October 1994 and November 1995 in the Cabinet of Nikica Valentić. Vitez graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art in 1972 and went on to appear in about a hundred theatre productions at several prominent theatres, including the Gavella Drama Theatre and the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Between the mid-1970s and late 1990s he also appeared in a number of Croatian television and feature films, most notably of which was the leading role in Zvonimir Berković's 1985 film Love Letters with Intent (Ljubavna pisma s predumišljajem). Bloodsuckers

The streets of Zagreb are empty because of a rumored vampire who attacks lonely women. To the office of psychiatrist, Franjo Glogowetz, there arrives a strange visitor, Teobald Majer. He is convinced that he is a vampire from the 16th century, and tells Franz that the members of his family, Glogovac, were famous vampire hunters. Naturally, Franz does not take him seriously but his wife, Barbara, likes the stranger a lot and even believes his story. In the meantime, Franz's two relatives, Jambrek and Jurek, arrive and get caught up in the mess.

Crime at School

Professor Toth, the man he replaced, has died under the strange circumstances. Kovac meets a variety of strange people in his school's collective, and it was not long before they came up with the new body. However, the police is unable to solve the case, but he takes the matter into his own hands and setting a trap for a murderer on a school manifestation.

A Summer to Remember

Zagreb, Yugoslavia in 1890. A group of high-school students run away on an adventure that ends in scandal. The ringleader, Gusta, is expelled from school and sent to stay with his uncle in rural Turopolje. Here, a totally new world opens up to him, where the internal tragedies of the people are played out against the castle of Brezovica and a small town of wooden-framed houses. People end up in this idyllic exile because of some previous "sin" and try then to make the best of their lives there. But memories of the outside world impinge on their happiness.
