Angels of Revolution

Five friends – a poet, an actor, a painter, an architect and a primitivist film director – are five red avant-garde artists who try to find the embodiment of their hopes and dreams in the young Soviet state. The Revolution is boiling up like a bottle with apple cider: winged service dogs and heart-shaped potatoes, dead Semashko, the People’s Commissar for Health, and cheerful angels, love for the Tsar and love for the young secretary Annushka, executions and pregnancies – everything is interlaced and inseparable!

A Lake

The action unfolds in a country about which we know nothing, a land of snow and forests, somewhere in the North. A family lives in an isolated house near a lake. Alexi is very close to his younger sister, Hege. Their blind mother, father, and younger brother, silently observe this uncontrollable love. One day a stranger arrives, a young man slightly older than Alexi.

Europa

Two lovers appeal to each other in the empty streets of Madrid, lost in the first dawn of 2018. Both of them cross a mountain tunnel the last night of 1999. They keep the same age, but their names are different. They want to get to a rave party where hundreds of youngsters like them will welcome 21st century. The car stops at the entrance of the woods, among the far music echoes, but the party and their lives empty out in the middle of a deluded night. In the first morning of the new millennium, they will contemplate the future. They will see Europa burn.

Fairy tale characters who have witnessed the terrible death, all share their version of the events, gradually shedding light on what really happened.
