Pride Comedy Show

Show recorded at the Cirque d'Hiver in 1997. This show marked both the consecration and the farewell of Elie Kakou to his public. This show, the artist's most accomplished, mixes great spectacle and humor through an incredible sound and visual delirium: in the company of dancers, trapeze artists, stilt walkers and whimsical characters, all on choreographies signed Rhéda; it is one of the most beautiful tributes to the world of the circus.

For her first hourlong stand-up special, comedian/actress/producer Aida Rodriguez takes the stage in the Bronx to tackle the issues of the day – not just because they’re ripped from the headlines, but because they’re in the pages of her personal life story. With her grounded and unapologetic point of view, Rodriguez gets candid about being worn out from political comedy, embracing both sides of her heritage, getting back into the dating game, and so much more.

I used to be a little boy and now I am a 34-year-old man. The world is a crazy place and I would like to tell you about it through the medium of stand up comedy. Filmed at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Saturday 29 July 2023.

Have you noticed in life that only strong and smart people can laugh at themselves. This means there is hope - we will survive. In the last century, the idols of our fatherland were poets. There were questions of honor, and in our time: sorcerers, psychics, hypnotists and we, satirists. God willing, this time will end someday in Rus', the times of poets will come again. The only thing that’s a pity is that we won’t live to see this time with you. One thing is required of us: thinking. The rest must be completed by our descendants. Well, since we will not live to see this time, remember - a song helps us build and live, and humor helps us survive. If you laugh like you do today, you can live a long, long time. In our country there is enough stupidity for a long, joyful, wonderful life. Well, that's all for you AAAAAA.
