Carol Burnett is wonderful as the conniving, neglectful manager of the orphanage ("Miss Hannigan") who cares not a jot for her charges and treats them like skivvies whilst she drinks//smokes and generally misbehaves her way through life. One day, multi-gazillionaire "Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks" (Albert Finney) decides to allow an orphan to spend some time with him at his mansion and "Annie" (Aileen Quinn) is the winner of this golden ticket. Quickly, she charms the pants off them all - including the hard-hearted industrialist. When he decides to help her find her long lost parents by offering a reward "Hannigan" scents an opportunity and gets her equally dodgy brother "Rooster" (Tim Curry) and his delinquent girlfriend to fake parenthood, claim the reward - and kidnap the girl! The story is a bit strained at times, but it does have some fun dance routines; "The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow" & "It's a Hard Knock Life" and also a superbly statuesque Geoffrey Holder as "Warbucks" Indian equivalent of "Oddjob" to help it over the odd bumps of tedium. Messrs. Finney & Curry very much enter into the spirit of it all and Quinn captures the vulnerability/feistiness of the title character charmingly.
Based on the popular Internet novel, the film takes place in a school renowned for its sexual aberrations. The student body is comprised of sexually ambiguous teenagers, and the student president and vice-present flaunt their taste for S&M. Independent study and supplementary classes are done on homosexuality and transgenderism. But amidst this environment, there are some that just can't adapt.
"Little Paris" is the nickname given to Luna's hometown in provincial Baden Württemberg. Its name comes from a replica of the Eiffel Tower on a factory roof on an industrial estate next to the A9 autobahn. Luna knows she has to leave her home, the dead-end part-time jobs and a relationship which has about as much going for it as the local market. And that's not a lot. With the arrival of the mysterious dancer G. in the small town, life in the place is suddenly shaken up his erotic vibes and moves. Luna finds herself in love with G. who is different to her childhood sweetheart Ron. G. is the first one to recognize her talent and together they start rehearsing at the "Pink Palace", a huge disco, for an audition for a dance contest in Berlin. If they win, they could end up starring in a music video. With the support of G., with whom she's falling deeper in love..
Victor and Hillary are down on their luck to the point that they allow tourists to take guided tours of their castle. But Charles Delacro, a millionaire oil tycoon, visits, and takes a liking to more than the house. Soon, Hattie Durant gets involved and they have a good old fashioned love triangle.
A present-day idyllic kingdom where the benevolent teenage son of King Adam and Queen Belle offers a chance of redemption for the troublemaking offspring of Disney's classic villains: Cruella De Vil (Carlos), Maleficent (Mal), the Evil Queen (Evie) and Jafar (Jay).
Two co-workers in a music shop dislike one another during business hours but unwittingly carry on an anonymous romance through the mail.
This omnibus release consists of three playlets filmed and aired during television's Golden Age, and starring some of the legends of film and television. The collection originally ran as a two-hour segment on December 14, 1959, on the anthology series The Play of the Week, broadcast locally in New York City via the independent radio station WNTA. Each "tale" in the anthology was adapted from a single tale by the inimitable Sholom Aleichem, regarded by many as the "Yiddish Mark Twain". Included are: "A Tale of Chelm" starring Zero Mostel and Nancy Walker in the story of a bookseller attempting to buy a goat; "Bontche Schweig" about a poor man (Jack Gilford) whose recent arrival in Heaven makes the angels cry; and "The High School" about a Jewish merchant (Morris Carnovsky) persuaded by his wife (Gertrude Berg) to let their son attend a particular high school despite the enforcement of quotas for Jewish students.

An aging gangster, Fernand Naudin is hoping for a quiet retirement when he suddenly inherits a fortune from an old friend, a former gangster supremo known as the Mexican. If he is ambivalent about his new found wealth, Fernand is positively nonplussed to discover that he has also inherited his benefactor’s daughter, Patricia. Unfortunately, not only does Fernand have to put up with the thoroughly modern Patricia and her nauseating boyfriend, but he also had to contend with the Mexican’s trigger-happy former employees, who are determined to make a claim.
