Yikes, but Robert Bradbury has packed loads into this rather enjoyable Bob Steele western adventure. Steele has returned from fighting in WWI to general shock and amazement from his community. They thought he was long gone - despite his regularly writing to his father throughout the conflict. Anyway, back he is - and determined to settle down with his gal "Mary" (Margaret Marquis) and his dad (Charles French). Of course it isn't going to be that straightforward. he soon gleans that local postman "Kent" (Charles King) was the fella responsible for intercepting his mail, and that's just the start of the man's machinations to rustle their cattle, swindle them out of their ranch - and, of course, poach the girl from under his nose. This is quickly paced with loads of action, a teeny weeny bit of romance and a little more by way of characterisation for us to get into than many of these B-features. Steele always did look much better on his posters, but even he isn't quite as wooden as usual - and all in all, this is quite good fun!
Retired wealthy sea captain Jim McKay arrives in the Old West, where he becomes embroiled in a feud between his future father-in-law, Major Terrill, and the rough and lawless Hannasseys over a valuable patch of land.
Peterson has a plan to obtain all the ranches in the valley. He gives Carson a phony Spanish land grant and has him pose as the Mexican owner. When Fred and Fuzzy have their cattle stolen by Peterson's men, they quickly become involved in the scheme.
When his cattlemen abandon him for the gold fields, rancher Wil Andersen is forced to take on a collection of young boys as his cowboys in order to get his herd to market in time to avoid financial disaster. The boys learn to do a man's job under Andersen's tutelage, however, neither he nor the boys know that a gang of cattle thieves is stalking them.
During the Klondike Gold Rush, a misanthropic cattle driver and his talkative elderly partner run afoul of the law in Alaska and are forced to work for a saloon owner to take her supplies into a newly booming but lawless Candian town.
Towards the end of the Civil War a group of Confederate soldiers hole up on an abandoned plantation after robbing a bank, and find themselves at the mercy of supernatural forces.
A former gunslinger is forced to take up arms again when he and his cattle crew are threatened by a corrupt lawman.
No relation to the 1950 John Ford classic of the same name, Rio Grande is yet another rubber-stamp Charles Starrett western from the Columbia assembly line.
Following the Civil War, headstrong rancher Thomas Dunson decides to lead a perilous cattle drive from Texas to Missouri. During the exhausting journey, his persistence becomes tyrannical in the eyes of Matthew Garth, his adopted son and protégé.
After serving a five year prison sentence for allowing his men to destroy a town in a drunken spree, a trail boss is hired by the same town's leading citizen to drive their cattle to Fort Clemson. Complicating matters, a rival cattle baron also hires the cattle driver to lead his herd.
In this western, a lonesome cowpoke trots into a town and helps clear his pardner's name. The trouble began when the friend was framed by the leader of the Cattlemen's association who made it seem like he was a rustler. Because the friend was an ex-con, the evidence against him seems airtight. The wandering hero must work extra hard to prove his friend's innocence.
With thousands of cattle being rustled from White Sage ranch the 1930's Texas Rangers are called in. They manage to get one of their agents into the gang by making them think he is the Pecos Kid on the lam.
