The Simpsons: Too Hot For TV

The Male Gaze is a new series of releases from New Queer Visions that showcases short LGBTQ films from across the world. The first instalment, First Kiss, brings together five shorts that are based around men experiencing romantic and/or sexual interaction with other men for the first time. It takes in films from Sweden, Indonesia, USA, Australia and France giving a rounded look at how similar experiences are depicted across the world. The films are: Naked [Naken] (2013); Pria (2017); Walk With Me (2018), One Night Only (2018); Michel's Mouse [Tapette] (2016).

As Boys On Film reaches the end of its teenage years, we take a look at those unique boys who go one step further, who excite, invigorate, and always impress, who break boundaries, shape their worlds and are more than what they appear. Not to be confused with Ocelot's 2011 feature film, Tales of the Night is a made for TV silhouette animation. It is a compilation of 3 fairy tale like stories, bridged by sequences of a boy and girl in an abandoned theater.

Nice Shorts consists of four short films from up and coming directors. A simple walk means so much more in the touching short "Shall We Take a Walk?" directed by Kim Ye Yeong and Kim Yeong Geun. Directed by Hong Sung Hoon, "Girl" tells of a father's strange day when his son's girlfriend shows up, and Lee Jeong Wook's "Mates" goes undercover into memories and crime solving. Winner of Best Korean Short at the 2009 Jeonju Film Festival and the Excellence Award at the Seoul Independent Film Festival, Jo Sung Hee's "Don't Step Out of the House" is about two young children who live in a rundown apartment by themselves, and what happens when adults invade their space.
