Ulla Jacobsson

Ulla Jacobsson (23 May 1929, Mölndal – 20 August 1982, Vienna, buried at the Wiener Zentralfriedhof) was a Swedish actress who is perhaps best known for playing one of the very few female roles in the film Zulu. Jacobsson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. Originally a stage actress, she started appearing in English language films in the early 1960s and tended to play serious and anxious looking characters. She first become known internationally for nude scenes in One Summer of Happiness. Other notable roles include Ingmar Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night, The Heroes of Telemark and la Servante. A role in the American film Love Is a Ball was an attempt to make her a sex symbol. She won the German Film Award for Supporting Actress in Alle Jahre wieder (1967). She was married to Austrian ethnologist Hans Winfried Rohsmann (1918–2002). Jacobsson's film career tailed off in the 1970s, and she died in Vienna, Austria from bone cancer at age 53. Intended as a light farce this comedy by Luigi Commencini is a little plodding in its story about a bank manager who has had it with his buttoned-down, boring job. One Monday he can no longer face the tedium of both his work and his life and so he stays home and rebels by playing with toys and joining in on a radio concert with his own instruments. His erratic behavior does not go unnoticed and soon a winsome psychiatrist whom he knows and secretly admires, is right there trying to help him. The newly liberated bank manager logically grasps this opportunity to press forward his innermost feelings.

Karin Månsdotter

Karin does not belong to the nobility but nevertheless marries the mentally ill king Erik XIV and becomes queen of Sweden. The king's skilled counsellor Göran Persson wants a royal policy supporting the people and supported by it. But in relation to the nobility the king oscillates between provocative strength and unpredictable weakness. Göran arranges that some very powerful noblemen are killed. Subsequently the king tries to have them convicted of high treason by the parliament. He forgets the manuscript, mixes up all facts, and the noblemen are acquitted. But Göran speedily gathers another parliament and has them convicted. Meanwhile Erik apologises because of the unjust murders. Hence Erik is dethroned and imprisoned. Göran is executed. Karin is restricted to a castle in Finland. In the prison Erik believes that he is still the king and gives the guards presents such as all fishes in the Baltic Sea.

Nightmare

Fashion-designer May Berg is driving alone one evening, when she almost run over a man lying in the street. She gets out of the car to see. Suddenly the man attacks her, trying to strangle her.
