A drama about the manager Håkan Dahlin who has just been discharged from a clinic where he was treated for his alcoholism. In an outbreak of jealousy, Dahlin abuses his wife Inga and after that he is forcibly interned again. Inga is a nurse and she is now moving to a mountain village to work at a district clinic. During an emergency visit, she encounters her childhood sweetheart, the doctor Gunnar, and old feelings between them begin to flare up again.

Soon after a country singer moves in with her band's new manager, he's found slain and she's a suspect.

A librarian's husband and mother-in-law turn out to be psychotically abusive. When the husband mistakenly thinks he has killed her, he dumps her in a river, where she is saved by a fisherman. Desperate for money and in need of help to take revenge on her husband, she hooks up with a bank robber whom she falls in love with. Together, they return to her husband's home and kill him.

Lovable Amsterdam street urchin, 11 year old Ciske is nevertheless much in need of love as the Dutch 1984 title suggests. He is a scamp with a heart of gold. He causes havoc in the classroom pouring ink over his teacher yet when a polio-crippled boy joins the class Ciske is one of the only children to befriend him and is bullied as a result. His mother works in a bar and Ciske helps out often late into the night - his father is at sea and his mother supplements her income with prostitution. Ciske is also a very angry young man and he smoulders with rage at life's injustices.

"Scars," is a short film that explores the horror of domestic abuse. The story follows James through a nightmarish experience of his past relationship with his girlfriend, Camila. He's unconsciously guided around his house by a mysterious presence that forces him to observe his cruel treatment towards her.

After being attacked by the police, Katya, a trans sex worker, is given the opportunity to publicly denounce the assault in a television report. She decides not to do so, despite her desire to make a change, to prevent his mother from learning about her true occupation.
